Building on CDC’s experience throughout the former Soviet republics, CDC, through a subcontract with The Pragma Corporation, provides the Enterprise Development Program with volunteer business advisors to build pluralism and stability among the people and institutions of Central Asia. The project goal is to expand opportunities for participation, livelihood and quality of life for the citizens of the Central Asian republics.
USAID awarded the Pragma Corporation the Enterprise Development Project in order to enhance the competitive and managerial capabilities of SMEs in Central Asia. Since the program’s inception, Pragma has developed business-training courses, provided business advisory services, and facilitated business association and advocacy development.
CDC Volunteer Advisors use their technical experience to assist small and medium enterprises (SMEs) inВ four Central Asian republics. The duration of the projects are from one to two months and not limited to one country.
